On exactly July 4th 2010, I recieved my first flea bite ever in my life. It began with one single bite on my my ankle. As the month of July progressed, the flea bites increased exponentially in amount, and distance up my body. I have over 40 bites on my legs alone. I have 10 on my arms. I have several on my back. I even have three on my neck. There is almost nothing you can do to stop this from happening. Deepwoods OFF, does nothing to prevent it. The flea will just stay on you until the bad taste goes away. Outdoor pesticide doesnt kill them immediatley, allowing time for the colony to spread. This parasite literally falls out of the sky and onto your property off of a bird, or a leaf in the wind. Once it finds a new host and feeds on blood, eggs can now be layed and an infestation begins. You will not find the source of this infestation. You will not find any eggs. You will not find any nesting beds, bug excrement. You wont see flea larvae. YOU WILL NOT FEEL THE BITES. YOU WILL NOT FEEL ANYTHING WHATSOEVER. Until its all too late, and you look like a shotgun victim. I have called the exterminator, i have used pesticides, i have ripped out carpets, threw away couches, bleached everything, even bought new wardrobes. You will not get rid of them, with out controlled burning of the entire surrounding area. The only relief from the terrible crawling sensation, is to take extremely hot showers.
